Othello edges Connell 9-7

Connell - FB Isaiah Perez had 88 rushing yards to lead Othello to a 9-7 win over Connell on Friday night.

The Huskies also received helpful efforts from QB Julian Pruneda who completed 3 passes for 38 yards and CB Efrain Palomares who caught 3 passes for 38 yards.

Connell's QB Austin Smith threw for 87 yards and 1 touchdown, RB Jekoby Tuttle picked up 30 rushing yards and WR Silas Chase had 34 receiving yards.

The win helps Othello improve to 1-0 on the season while Connell falls to 0-1. Tonight’s game was the first matchup between the two teams.

Othello will take on the Royal Knights at home on Friday September 7 at 7:00pm. This is the first matchup between the two teams this season.
