Hoggard Vikings beat Scotland Fighting Scots 24-7 in North Carolina high school football game

Laurinburg, NC - Hoggard High School quarterback Sam Jones had 170 passing yards and threw for 2 touchdowns to help the Hoggard Vikings to a 24-7 win over the Scotland Fighting Scots on Friday night at Laurinburg, NC in a high school football game.

The Vikings also received vital efforts from running back Sam Williams who rushed 23 times for 82 yards and running back Cayden Hollar who rushed 5 times for 14 yards and 1 touchdown.

Scotland's Carter Revelle threw for 116 yards and 1 touchdown, RJ Nicholson picked up 99 rushing yards and Izeem Graham had 83 receiving yards and 1 touchdown.

The win helps Hoggard improve to 2-0 on the season while Scotland falls to 1-1. Tonight’s game was the first matchup between the two teams.

Hoggard will challenge the Wake Forest Cougars at home on Friday September 3. This is the first matchup between the two teams this season.
