Caledonia Confederates crushes South Pontotoc Cougars 62-21 in Mississippi high school football game

South Pontotoc - Caledonia High School Quarterback Brandon Edmondson accumulated 183 rushing yards and scored 2 touchdowns to guide Caledonia Confederates to a 62-21 win over South Pontotoc Cougars on Thursday night at South Pontotoc in a high school football game.

The Confederates also received crucial efforts from Darrius Triplett who rushed 4 times for 122 yards and 1 touchdown and Kewon Wyatt who rushed 4 times for 99 yards and 3 touchdowns.

South Pontotoc's Eli Allen threw for 114 yards and 1 touchdown, Gary griffin picked up 104 rushing yards and Clayton heathlery had 42 receiving yards and 1 touchdown.

The win helps Caledonia improve to 5-5 on the season while South Pontotoc falls to 0-1. Tonight’s game was the first matchup between the two teams.

Caledonia will face off against the Itawamba Agricultural Indians at home on Friday November 1 at 5:00pm. This is the first matchup between the two teams this season.
