Sartell-St. Stephen Sabres defeat Bemidji Lumberjacks 33-21 in Minnesota high school football game

Sabre Field - Sartell St. Stephen High School quarterback Cole Hentges accumulated 93 passing yards and threw for 1 touchdown to lead the Sartell-St. Stephen Sabres to a 33-21 win over the Bemidji Lumberjacks on Tuesday night in a high school football game.

The Sabres also received vital efforts from linebacker Donovan Lund who rushed 25 times for 129 yards and 1 touchdown and running back Gavan Schulte who caught 3 passes for 43 yards.

Bemidji's Peyton Neadeau threw for 218 yards and 1 touchdown and Ethan Biehn picked up 87 rushing yards and 2 touchdowns.

The win helps Sartell-St. Stephen improve to 4-4-1 on the season while Bemidji falls to 2-7. Tonight’s game was the third matchup between the two teams. In the previous game Wednesday October 19, Sartell-St. Stephen came out in front, 33-21.

Sartell-St. Stephen travels to Sauk Rapids, MN to challenge the Sauk Rapids-Rice Storm on Saturday October 29. This is the first matchup between the two teams this season.
