Columbus East crushes Seymour 42-6

John Stafford Field - QB Cole Gilley racked up 241 passing yards and threw for 3 touchdowns to guide Columbus East to a 42-6 win over Seymour on Friday night.

The Olympians also received crucial efforts from RB Mark McDonald who rushed 10 times for 137 yards and 1 touchdown and WR Cody Horner who caught 4 passes for 108 yards and 1 touchdown.

Seymour's Brendan Smith threw for 50 yards, Nathan O’Mara picked up 126 rushing yards and Jackson Roberts had 49 receiving yards.

The win helps Columbus East improve to 1-2 on the season. Tonight’s game was the first matchup between the two teams.

Columbus East will face off against the Jennings County Panthers at home on Friday September 7 at 4:00pm. This is the first matchup between the two teams this season.
