Naples Golden Eagles cruises by Lely Trojans 44-7 in Florida high school football game

Naples - Naples High School running back Shawn Simeon picked up 242 rushing yards and scored 4 touchdowns to help the Naples Golden Eagles to a 44-7 win over the Lely Trojans on Friday night in a high school football game.

The Golden Eagles also received impressive efforts from running back Jamar Jerome who rushed 8 times for 53 yards and quarterback Jack Melton who rushed 7 times for 24 yards and 1 touchdown.

Lely's quarterback Colin Raymond threw for 112 yards and 1 touchdown and wide receiver Gage Rice had 55 receiving yards and 1 touchdown.

The win helps Naples improve to 6-1 on the season while Lely falls to 4-3. Tonight’s game was the first matchup between the two teams.

Naples travels to Plantation, FL to face off against the American Heritage Patriots on Friday October 20. This is the first matchup between the two teams this season.
