UNION STADIUM - Central Valley High School quarterback Luke Abshire racked up 271 passing yards and threw for 2 touchdowns to lead the Central Valley Bears to a 24-8 win over the Mead Panthers on Friday night in a high school football game.

The Bears also received crucial efforts from linebacker Sam Cann who rushed 15 times for 37 yards and defensive back Nic Saunders who completed 1 pass for 13 yards and 1 touchdown.

Mead's quarterback Colby Danielson threw for 143 yards and 1 touchdown and wide receiver Madden Raab had 45 receiving yards and 1 touchdown.
