Photos: Graham-Kapowsin delivers ‘statement’ win over Sumner – not just for 4A SPSL, but rest of state

Joshua Wood did not hesitate to call it a “statement” victory Saturday night as No. 1 Graham-Kapowsin rolled to a 41-14 victory over No. 5 Sumner at Sunset Chev Stadium.

Led by Wood’s 348 yards of total offense, the Eagles broke away late in the first half to improve to 7-0.

Graham-Kapowsin snapped a scoreless tie with three touchdowns in the final 4:46 of the first half. Two of them were Wood touchdown runs, and the other was a scoring pass.

Eagles wide receiver Julian Mason caught a career-high 10 passes for 148 yards and a touchdown.
