VANCOUVER, Wash. — Jaydin Knapp rushed 18 times for 148 yards and two touchdowns, including an explosive 42-yard score in final minutes as Skyview beat 4A Greater St. Helens League opponent Union 37-7, leaving no doubt who is the team to beat in the 4A Greater St. Helens League.
The Storm ran the ball at will, gaining 242 total yards on the ground. But it was its defense that stole the show, suffocating the Titans’ myriad of dynamic playmakers, starting with Notre Dame-bound receiver Tobias Merriweather.
Skyview’s home victory at Kiggins Bowl Thursday moves it to 6-1 on the season ahead of a much-awaited matchup against Camas in Week 8. Union, which lost its season-opener to O’Dea, drops to 5-2 on the year.
