5. SUMNER SPARTANS 6-0 (4A)

Up next: Oct. 16 vs. No. 1 Graham-Kapowsin (4A)

Up next: Oct. 15 at Woodinville (4A)

Last result: 42-0 win over Inglemoor (4A)

Up next: Oct. 14 at No. 24 Skyview (4A)

Last result: 43-6 win over Battle Ground (4A)

Up next: Oct. 15 at Pasco (4A)

Last result: 34-20 win over then-No. 7 Kennewick (3A)

Up next: Oct. 15 vs. Camas (4A)

Last result: 58-0 win over Shelton (3A)

Last ranking: No. 12

Up next: Oct. 15 vs. Mount Si (4A)

Last result: 41-7 win over Skyline (4A)

Last ranking: No. 13

Up next: Oct. 15 at Arlington (3A)

Last result: 49-13 win over Mount Vernon (3A)

Up next: Oct. 14 vs. Hermiston of Oregon (4A)

Last result: 34-20 loss to then-No. 11 Kamiakin (3A)

Last ranking: No. 7

Ranking rationale: No shame in being at least the second-best team in the MCC, because folks know Lions are still one of top 3A threats.

14. EASTSIDE CATHOLIC CRUSADERS 4-1 (3A)

Up next: Oct. 15 vs. No. 22 Rainier Beach (3A)

Last result: 24-14 win over then-No. 5 O’Dea (3A)

Last ranking: No. 15

Ranking rationale: Beat O’Dea on the road, and move up just one spot? Life in the 3A ranks this fall seems a bit clunky and illogical.

15. O’DEA FIGHTING IRISH 3-2 (3A)

Up next: Oct. 14 at Ballard (3A)

Last result: 24-14 loss to then-No. 15 Eastside Catholic (3A)

Last result: Did not play (49-20 win over Mariner on Oct. 1)

23. SEATTLE PREP PANTHERS 4-2 (3A)

Up next: Oct. 15 vs. Garfield (3A)

Last result: 35-21 win over Ballard (3A)

Last ranking: No. 24

Ranking rationale: In some weird way, if Panthers rally against Garfield and Rainier Beach to nab No. 3 Metro spot – isn’t that return to normalcy?

24. SKYVIEW STORM 5-1 (4A)

Up next: Oct. 14 vs. No. 7 Union (4A)

Last result: 35-14 win over Kelso (3A)

Last ranking: No. 25

Ranking rationale: If Storm repeat what it did in the spring – upend Titans – will surely move out of bottom of these quickly-shifting rankings.

Up next: Oct. 15 vs. Bremerton (2A)

Last result: 49-7 win over Sequim (2A)
