Highlights: Mountain View survives last second field goal to beat league foe Kelso 20-17 on the road

KELSO, Wash. — Mitch Johnson rushed for two touchdowns, threw for a third and Mountain View survived a last second field goal to beat Kelso 20-17 at Kelso High School’s Schroeder Stadium on Friday night.

The Hilanders’ 31-yard field goal attempt with six seconds left, which missed wide left, would have sent the game to overtime. The win gave the Thunder (4-1) a key win in the 3A Greater St. Helens League race. It was also head coach Adam Mathieson’s 100th career win.
