O’Dea running back, high-major prospect Jason Brown breaks down dominant season-opening performance in 35-17 win over Union

VANCOUVER, Wash. — O’Dea sophomore running back Jason Brown exploded for 284 rushing yards and three touchdowns in a 35-17 win over No. 4 Union (4A) on Friday night at McKenzie Stadium.

The 5-foot-10, 185-pound Brown had a breakout freshman season in the COVID-shortened spring campaign, breaking Myles Gaskin’s single-game touchdown record and out-gaining Seattle Prep’s offense in the Metro League title game, after which he fielded offers from the likes of Washington, Oregon and Florida State.
