ARLINGTON – Senior quarterback Grayson Murren made a big first impression for Lake Stevens High School at the Lakewood Cougars Championship 7-on-7 Passing Tournament on Saturday afternoon.

Murren threw four touchdown passes in the championship game to lead the Vikings past North Creek for their first tournament title, and was named offensive player of the day at Lakewood High School.

Kennedy McGill threw all of North Creek’s three scores in the title-game loss.

The reigning 4A Wesco champions eliminated 2019 event finalist Bothell in the semifinals. The Jaguars toppled Glacier Peak to reach the finals.

Defending tournament champion Kennedy Catholic (2019) was upended in the quarterfinals by Glacier Peak.
