In an effort to shine a brighter spotlight on Washington high school basketball players, we are introducing our first-ever SBLive Boys Basketball Recruiting Rankings.
Our rankings are compiled by SBLive Basketball Analyst Dan Dickau based on observations and conversations with an extensive network of coaching and media sources across the country. The players have been evaluated through a college recruiting lens and analyzed in four categories: athleticism, ball skills, basketball IQ and upside.
Over the next few weeks we will roll out our Top 25 players in Washington. Here’s a closer look at No. 20 on the list, Kamiakin junior Tyler Bilodeau:
SBLIVE WA RANKING: NO. 20

ATHLETICISM: Bilodeau is a stretch 4 who can really get up and down the floor like a guard. He has length to go with great hands which allows him to rebound out of his area.
BALL SKILLS: Bilodeau is a pick-and-pop 4 who has solid mechanics and footwork that continues to improve. He can also catch in traffic because he has great hands, which is such an undervalued skill for bigs. He does a nice job defensively protecting the rim and understanding when to go for it and when to be vertical to just challenge with his length.
BASKETBALL IQ: He is from an athletic family and he knows the value of hard work. Bilodeau’s hard work is starting to really show now that he is growing like crazy. His knowledge of the game is evident in the way he plays the pick-and-pop, knowing when to roll to the rim and when to pop out.
UPSIDE: A relative unknown from the Tri-Cities, Bilodeau has a chance to become a high level recruit if he continues to grow … which is possible. At 6-foot-7 now, he’s a Division I player. If he grows to 6-10 with his mobility, work ethic and skills, he could be a Pac-12 type player.
