SBLive Washington podcast: WIAA Executive Board President Greg Whitmore talks newly unveiled four-season sports calendar, spring football

Buckle up for football in March.

On Tuesday, the WIAA unveiled a tentative modified four-season 2020-21 high school sports schedule that pushes high-risk football, volleyball and soccer to the spring, while planning for low-risk fall sports to start Sept. 7 for counties in Phase 3 of Washington Governor Jay Inslee’s coronavirus Safe Start plan.

Greg Whitmore is also the football coach at 2B Lind-Ritzville-Sprague, as well as an athletic director and teacher.

WIAA Executive Board President Greg Whitmore joined the SBLive Washington podcast Tuesday night to discuss the many implications of the decision.
