After approval from Washington state officials, the WIAA released its return-to-play guidance on Monday, giving high schools across the state a roadmap for how to resume athletics amid the coronavirus pandemic.
The return will likely be staggered. Some sports — such as football, which was designated “high risk” — will return depending on the risk of transmission associated with each individual sport.
