Here are the candidates for the WaFd Bank high school boys basketball player of the week for Feb. 17-23 as nominated by fans, readers and Scorebook Live’s staff. Read through the nominees and cast your vote at the bottom of the page. Voting will conclude on Thursday at 11:59 p.m and the winner will be announced Friday morning. Gavin Gilstrap, Central Valley: Gilstrap finished with 21 points, 12 boards, and 5 blocks in Central Valley’s 68-53 win over Gonzaga Prep.

Duncan Toby, Lummi: Toby led the way for Lummi with 33 points, 11 steals, 8 assists, 7 rebounds, and 2 blocks in their matchup with Rainier Christian.

Nick Watkins, Saint George’s: Watkins averaged 26.5 ppg for Saint George’s in two games against Lind-Ritzville-Sprague and Liberty.

Messiah Jones, Kamiakin: Jones put up 21 points and pulled down 15 rebounds as Kamiakin defeated Mt. Spokane 55-52.

Haden Hicks, Prosser: Hicks netted 29 points in Prosser’s 76-52 win over Ephrata.

Jose Reyes, Davis: Reyes poured in 30 points for Davis in their 80-69 win over Sunnyside.

Nolan Hickman, Eastside Catholic: Hickman finished with 26 points in Eastside Catholic’s 79-71 win over O’Dea.
