VANCOUVER — Kaden Perry put the finishing touch on a career night.
The Gonzaga commit scored 38 points, pulled down 15 rebounds and scored a tip-in put-back at the overtime buzzer to take down Skyview on Friday night at Fort Vancouver High School.
“Perfect position, right over when the ball came perfect to me, I just barely tipped it in, and I couldn’t ask for a better shot,” Perry said.
With the District 4 quarterfinal win, the Tigers earned a berth to the regional round of the 4A state tournament, and booked a date with Kentwood — which beat Federal Way 65-63 Friday night — in the district semifinals on Wednesday.
Brendan Beall added 19 points for the Tigers (13-9, No. 16 RPI), who withstood a career shooting night from senior guard Alex Marshall. Marshall’s 21 points came from seven 3-pointers.
The Storm (16-7, No. 10 RPI) drop to the consolation bracket, and face Mount Rainier on Monday night at 5 p.m. at Wilson High School.
