Photos: No. 1 Union boys basketball comes back in final minutes to beat Battle Ground

BATTLE GROUND — Ariya Briscoe scored a go-ahead lay-up with two seconds left and Battle Ground missed an open 3 at the buzzer as No. 1 Union came from behind to beat the Tigers on Tuesday night at Battle Ground High School.

The game featured both student sections decked out in Los Angeles Lakers colors to honor Kobe Bryant, who died Sunday in a helicopter crash, a game ball ceremony pregame for BG’s Kaden Perry scoring his 1,000th career point on Jan. 17, a potentially season-ending injury and a back-and-forth game that ended on a game-winning layup.
