We’re taking an inside look at the top teams, best players, emerging X-factors and projected finish for each Class 3A boys basketball league around the state of Washington.

Here’s a look at the Class 3A Greater Spokane League:

TOP TEAM

A burning question entering the season was how would the Mt. Spokane Wildcats fare following a dream season that ended in the 3A state championship game. The answer? Pretty darn well. The Wildcats won a holiday tournament and could very well sweep the rest of league play.

PLAYER TO WATCH

Junior Tyson Degenhart made an even bigger jump from his sophomore season, in which he led the Wildcats to the 3A state finals against O’Dea. The 6-7 forward isn’t just a back to the basket player, he can take players off the dribble and shoot.

KEEP AN EYE OUT FOR

Evan Nomee, a 6-foot-5 forward for Rogers (Spokane), is a gifted shooter who demands attention on a team that has thus far struggled.

PREDICTED LEAGUE ORDER OF FINISH

1. Mt. Spokane

2. North Central

3. Rogers (Spokane)

4. Shadle Park
