Here are the candidates for the Washington Federal high school athlete of the week for Sept. 30-Oct. 6, as nominated by fans, readers and Scorebook Live’s staff. Read through the nominees and cast your vote at the bottom of the page. Voting will conclude on Thursday at 11:59 p.m and the winner will be announced Friday morning. Caden Jumper, Eatonville QB: Jumper was 10-of-15 for 108 yards and a TD through the air and carried the ball 28 times for 258 yards and three TDs on the ground in Eatonville’s 42-40 win over River Ridge. Jumper accounted for 366 of the team’s 412 total yards.

Jace Parbon, Lewis & Clark QB: Parbon was 19-of-30 for 264 yards and 2 TDs and added 13 carries for 110 yards and a touchdown in Lewis & Clark’s 43-36 win over Post Falls (Idaho).

Ryan McKenna, Gonzaga Prep QB: McKenna had 18 carries for 147 yards and 2 TDs in the Bullpups’ 31-7 win over Mead.

C.J. Jordan, Union QB: Jordan finished with 104 rushing yards and three touchdowns, and completing 19 of 31 passes for 258 yards and another score in Union’s 42-41 loss to Puyallup.

Dylan Ashbeck, Walla Walla WR: Ashbeck had 13 catches for 196 yards and 4 touchdowns in Walla Walla’s 35-28 win over Richland. The four TD receptions were a single-game school record.

Jalynnee McGee, Skyview RB: McGee ran for three touchdowns on just five carries as Skyview rolled to a 63-14 win over Battle Ground.

Sam Adams, Eastside Catholic RB: Adams rushed for 160 yards and a touchdown on just 10 carries in Eastside Catholic’s 42-21 win over Garfield.

Dontae Owens, River Ridge WR/CB: Owens scored four touchdowns — including a pick-six and a punt return for a touchdown — River Ridge’s 42-40 loss to Eatonville.

Gavin Garcia, Tahoma CB: Garcia stepped in as a starter at defensive back and had 2 crucial interceptions to help Tahoma beat Todd Beamer 24-14.

Evan Liggett, Lake Washington WR: Liggett had 10 catches for 217 yards and 3 touchdowns in Lake Washington’s 42-21 loss to Bellevue.

Keani Guthmueller, Lewis & Clark RB/DB: Guthmueller had 21 carries for 142 yards and three TDs and had two big interceptions on defense, including the game-clinching pick in the fourth quarter in Lewis & Clark’s 43-36 win over Post Falls (Idaho).

Sav’ell Smalls, Kennedy Catholic LB: Smalls had three sacks to lead a dominant defensive performance in the Lancers’ 41-13 win over Enumclaw.

Howard Golden, Lakes RB: Golden rushed for four touchdowns to help the Lancers remain unbeaten in a 35-0 win over Bonney Lake.

Gabe Schilz, Chiawana RB: Schilz rushed for 153 yards and six touchdowns to lead the Riverhawks to a 48-7 win over Hanford.

Kyler Johnson, Puyallup RB/DB: Johnson rushed 18 times for 80 yards and two touchdowns in Puyallup’s 42-41 win over Union.

Jeremy McCarley, Cedarcrest RB: McCarley had 16 carries for 82 yards in Cedarcrest’s 28-7 win over Renton.
