All-MCC honorable mention as a junior.
Broc Remmer, receiver
Among the top targets out wide in addition to being the Bulldog’s kick returner. Logged 11 solo tackles on defense as a junior.
Hermiston will be young and relatively inexperienced, but the team feels like they have something to prove.
That’s after the Bulldogs became the first Oregon high school to compete in Washington high school athletics last season, a year after winning the 2017 Oregon 5A state championship.
In its first season crossing state lines, Hermiston finished second among 3A teams in a tough Mid Columbia Conference, losing to Kamiakin and Kennewick. The Bulldogs suffered a week 10 loss to Central Valley in the district crossover.
The Bulldogs must replace much of its offensive production from last season in quarterback Andrew James (1,391 yards passing, 753 yards rushing) and Wyatt Noland (1,570 rushing yards and 22 touchdowns). Their depth this season will be in the receiving and defensive back corps, where the Bulldogs bring back the likes of Trevor Wagner, Broc Remmer and D.J. Wilson.
