THREE TO SEE
Laythan Demarest, quarterback
Just like graduated standout Dawson Stanley, he runs and passes
Keith Olson, offensive lineman
Left tackle already seen as one of state’s top class of 2021 recruits
Draven Riddle, wide receiver
Emerging downfield threat was 2B state triple jump champ in 2018
OUTLOOK
Very few programs in state history can boast what the Tigers have accomplished in the past half-decade, reaching four 2B title games in five seasons.
Needless to say, underestimating them in the past-Dawson Stanley passer era would be foolish.
Laythan Demarest moves over from wide receiver to take the quarterback spot, and has impressed the coaching staff with his ability to make plays with his arm and legs.
He also enjoys one luxury in his first season as the starter — protection from one of the best offensive lines in coach Josh Fay’s tenure, led by Keith Olson and Fernando Gaona.
