THREE TO SEE

Max Smith, all-purpose

All-state linebacker did everything (1,714 all-purpose yards, 22 TDs)

Logan Walker, quarterback

Injury last year forced him into action, and he ran away with job

Sam Western, tight end

Has always had reliable hands, and now his blocking has improved

OUTLOOK

There are athletes — and high expectations in 2019 — everywhere.

If the Titans are going to make noise, this is the year, led by Smith, who is even bigger and stronger than last season when he was the division’s defensive player of the year at linebacker.

In fact, don’t expect coach Fluke to divert from his standout running-back tandem of Max Smith and Peter Hamilton, who each has a 1,000-yard rushing season to his name.

If PWV’s capable offensive line progresses to the point where Logan Walker is able to show off that rocket passing arm, the Titans could have the makings of their most complete offense under Fluke, who is a Willapa Valley graduate.
