OUTLOOK

If there is a program that’s a threat to break up the Southwest Washington monopoly in 2B, it is this rising junior-heavy bunch from the 2B Northeast League.

In his first season in charge, coach Gump made an important “leap of faith” schematic decision, switching from the option to the spread offense to utilize his team’s speed.

It worked well, especially for Kaden Krause, who rushed for nearly 700 yards and 10 touchdowns, and added 800 receiving yards and another nine scores.

And Jake Jeanneret, a former tailback, really hit his stride in the new offense in the second half of last season. He will have plenty of options to distribute the football to in 2019.
