Scorebook Live’s 2019 all-state Washington high school baseball: First team

Evan McLean was a force in many ways throughout the 2019 Washington high school baseball season, but he made sure to save his best for last.

McLean finished his senior season by throwing a perfect game in the 4A state semifinals to send Moses Lake to the 4A state championship game, which it won for the first time since 1981. That is why McLean is Scorebook Live’s 2019 all-state baseball player of the year.

The Big Bend Community College signee was 8-0 with a 0.65 ERA in 60 innings pitched and also batted .465 on the season.

And McLean’s coach, Donnie Lindgren, is Scorebook Live’s all-state coach of the year for leading the Chiefs to their second title in program history.
