Day 1 photos, results: 2019 Washington high school track & field state meet (2A, 3A, 4A)

The 2019 2A, 3A, 4A Washington high school track & field state meet started Thursday and continues through Saturday at Mount Tahoma High School.

Several finals took place on day one, including the 1,600, the high jump, the long jump and the triple jump. In the 4A girls 1,600, Issaquah’s Julia David Smith raced to victory in a time of 4:50.35. Walla Walla’s Ella Nelson was second (4:52.52) and Bellarmine Prep’s Ella Borsheim was third (4:57.01).

In the 4A boys 1,600 Camas senior Daniel Maton won with a time of 4:06.07. Mount Si’s Joe Waskom was second (4:06.64) and Woodinville’s Luke Houser was third (4:08.17).
