When Nate Oats was left Buffalo to become Alabama’s head basketball coach, O’Dea senior Noah Williams decommitted from the successful mid-major on the other side of the country.
Now, Williams is staying close to home.
Williams, a 6-foot-5 small forward, announced his commitment to Washington State in a video posted to Twitter Tuesday evening.
Williams helped lead O’Dea to a 3A state championship in March.
The decision marks Cougars men’s basketball coach Kyle Smith’s biggest in-state splash since he was hired in late March. Williams is a three-star recruit, according to recruiting site 247 Sports.
