After coach Nate Oats leaves, O’Dea’s Noah Williams decommits from Buffalo Bulls basketball program

Noah Williams, who helped lead O’Dea High School to the 2019 Washington 3A boys basketball state championship, announced on Instagram Wednesday night that he has decommitted from the University of Buffalo. His announcement comes a week after coach Nate Oats left Buffalo for the head coaching job at Alabama.

A 6-4 combo guard, Williams is rated a 3-star recruit by 247Sports. He currently holds offers from Washington and Buffalo. He had previously announced his commitment to Buffalo on March 10.

One of the best two-way players in the state, Williams was the steady hand behind O’Dea’s run to the 3A title. In their 70-39 title game victory over Mt. Spokane, he had 19 points, 6 rebounds, 2 assists and 2 steals. Williams was named third team all-state by Scorebook Live.
