Jaden McDaniels helps lead East team to victory in 2019 McDonald’s All-American Game

Federal Way senior Jaden McDaniels had seven points, two rebounds and two assists to help lead the East team to a 115-100 victory over the West in the 2019 McDonald’s All-American Game Thursday night in Atlanta.

Precious Achiuwa, a 6-foot-9-inch forward from Montverde Academy in Florida, led the East team with 22 points. Isaiah Stewart, a 5-star center from Indiana who has signed with Washington, added 16 points.

McDaniels, who has not committed to a college yet, saw 15 minutes of action and hit three of his four shots. He is scheduled to play in the Northwest Shootout on April 13 at Liberty High School in Portland, followed by the Jordan Brand Classic on April 20 in Las Vegas.

A 6-11 wing, McDaniels led Federal Way (26-3) to a third-place finish at the Washington 4A boys basketball state tournament this past season. He was named the most valuable player in the 4A North Puget Sound League (Olympic) as well as First Team All-State by Scorebook Live.
