Photos: Henry-Jennings throws for 2 touchdowns to lead South Oak Cliff past Liberty Hill 23-14 in Texas UIL 5A Division 2 championship

ARLINGTON, Texas – Senior quarterback Kevin Henry-Jennings threw two touchdowns passes to lead South Oak Cliff past Liberty Hill 23-14 on Saturday afternoon in the Texas UIL 5A Division 2 state championship game at AT&T Stadium in front of 42,275.

With the game tied at 14 all at halftime, the Bears (15-1) took the lead for good on a 29-yard field goal by Diego Varela with 8:25 remaining in the fourth quarter.

Henry-Jennings, who passed for 144 yards, had given South Oak Cliff a 14-0, first-quarter lead following touchdown passes of 17 yards to Corinthean Coleman and 27 yards to Jamyri Cauley.

Running back Andon Thomas supplied two rushing touchdowns during the second quarter for Liberty Hill (13-3).
