San Antonio John Jay RB Xadrian Huerta voted best running back in 6A Texas high school football

After releasing SBLive’s 6A running back rankings, we asked Texas high school football fans to vote for the best 6A running back in the state.

The winner?

San Antonio John Jay RB Xadrian Huerta.

Huerta received 25.4% of the 68,776 votes. Lewisville RB Damien Martinez finished second with 21.2% and Edinburg Vela RB PJ Rivera finished third with 15.5%.

Huerta, who also plays defensive back, has had some big games this season, including a 13-carry, 216-yard performance in a 35-25 win over O’Connor.
