West Salem takes control of Mountain Valley race with home win over Summit

Johnny Withers ran for two touchdowns, quarterback Brooks Ferguson ran for another, and the host Titans emerged from their home game against the Storm of northwest Bend as the only team with an undefeated Mountain Valley Conference record. 

After Withers’ first scoring run, the Storm (4-2, 3-1) tied it on an 81-yard run by Ryan Powell. 

Ferguson’s six-yard run seven minutes before halftime put the Titans (5-1, 3-0) ahead 14-7. They stretched the lead to 21-9 after three quarters.
