7 Wilsonville players score a touchdown; No. 3 Wildcats shut out Forest Grove

No. 3 Wilsonville 54, Forest Grove 0

Ryder McElroy returned a fumble 10 yards for a touchdown — one of seven Wildcats players to score a touchdown — as part of a strong Wilsonville defense in the victory over the host Vikings (3-3, 1-3 Northwest Oregon Conference West).

The Wildcats (6-0, 4-0) posted their first shutout in nearly two years — a 52-0 win over St. Helens on Oct. 18, 2019. Wilsonville led by 21 after the first quarter and by 47 at halftime on the way to its third consecutive 50-point game.

Jay Rummell-West rushed for two touchdowns, and Jacob Ogden, Dylan Nance and quarterback Chase Hix ran for one each.

Hix completed all but two of his pass attempts and made touchdown throws to Kellen Hartford and Rochne Beecham.
