Roseburg keeps rolling, shuts out McMinnville for 4-0 start

Roseburg 41, McMinnville 0

Landyn Dupper threw a 39-yard touchdown pass to Hayden Horton on a trick play to help launch Roseburg (4-0) to the victory over the Grizzlies (2-2) at Finlay Field in Roseburg.

In Roseburg’s home opener, it posted its first shutout since Sept. 13, 2019 — also against McMinnville, with a final score (42-0) nearly identical to Friday’s.

Colton Marsters passed to Logan Klopfenstein and to Dominic Tatone for touchdowns in the first half, and Marsters ran 19 yards for a score that made it 28-0 at halftime. That touchdown came at the end of a 99-yard drive highlighted by a 50-yard run by Tatone.

After halftime, Cayden Eckel had a four-yard touchdown run, and Marsters ran 79 yards for Roseburg’s final score.

Carson Dunn made a leaping interception to account for Roseburg’s only takeaway.
