Jake Hatch’s INT in the end zone seals Mountain View’s win over Summit

Mountain View 7, Summit 3: Jake Hatch intercepted a pass in the end zone to preserve the victory for the host Cougars (4-0), who got everything they could handle from the Storm in a rematch of a Week 1 game Mountain View won 33-3

The Storm (2-2) took a 3-0 lead in the third quarter at Jack Harris Stadium on a 41-yard field goal.

Mountain View coach Brian Crum said his offense finally got some rhythm on its last drive and capitalized on “some big catches and big throws.”  Luke Roberts punched the ball in from the 1 with 31 seconds left.

Summit then drove to the Mountain View 15, and the game wasn’t decided until Hatch’s interception with three seconds left.

“It was a great high school football game,” Crum said in a text. “I’m proud of our kids and coaches. So glad they got that moment.”
