North Medford scores 25 unanswered points in comeback win; Crater loses 18-point lead, 2 players to injury

North Medford 25, Crater 18: The Black Tornado scored 25 unanswered points after trailing 18-0 to defeat the Comets (1-2) at Dutch Meyer Field in Central Point.

Blake Eaton kicked a field goal and threw two touchdown passes to Trevor Jaasko to stake the host Comets to their 18-0 lead. Jaasko had an interception to set up the first touchdown.

Colby Neron’s short run, a field goal by Danny Cossette and two touchdown runs by Devin Bradd lifted North Medford (2-1) to the win.

Jaasko left the game with an apparent knee injury. Crater’s Brady Eaton also left the game. Cameron Derby of KRDV-TV (Medford) tweeted that Crater’s athletic director labeled Eaton’s injury a stinger and “they hope his back is okay.”
