Luke McNabb fires 4 TD passes, leads Scappoose past Hillsboro

No. 9 Scappoose 47, Hillsboro 18: Luke McNabb had four touchdown passes, and five Scappoose players scored touchdowns in the win over the visiting Spartans at St. Helens. 

Logan Johnson and Dom Lite had two scoring catches apiece, and Colin Stoddard caught one. McNabb entered the game leading Class 5A with six touchdown passes

Deacon Smith ran for two scores and D’Angelo Macedo-Becker also had a scoring run for Scappoose. 

Brett Krieger and Cutter Sandstrom led Scappoose’s defense, and Trey Dieringer and Aidan McMullan each registered an interception. 

Slade Shufelt’s rushing touchdown got the Spartans on the scoreboard late in the first half. Adonai Nava-Perez scored on a long, tackle-breaking run, and freshman quarterback Calvin Perkins connected with Josiah Kuhlman on a touchdown pass. 

Hillsboro’s Ryan Benedict recovered fumbles on Scappoose’s first two drives of the second half.
