Sherwood standout linebacker Bryan Cuthbertson injured in Bowmen’s win over Jesuit

All-state linebacker Bryan Cuthbertson left Sherwood’s Week 3 game against Jesuit on Friday with an apparent elbow injury.

Bowmen coach Greg Lawrence said in a text message he was not sure about the injury but that Cuthbertson “may have a fractured elbow.”

Cuthbertson, a senior, was considered a leading contender for Class 6A defensive player of the year honors. He was the 2019 Pacific Conference defensive player of the year and a first-team all-state middle linebacker who led the state in tackles with 158 (22 for loss). Lawrence has called him the best linebacker he’s coached in 30 years at Sherwood

The Bowmen beat the Crusaders, 26-7.
