Gavin Knights, special teams help Thurston run away from city rival Springfield

No. 1 Thurston 47, Springfield 6: The Colts (3-0) blocked a punt for a safety and returned another punt for a touchdown in defeating the host Millers (0-3) in a matchup of Springfield schools. 

Thurston held Springfield to 59 yards of total offense, forced three fumbles and intercepted three passes. 

Colts quarterback Dawson Muggy was 4 of 7 for 35 yards and one touchdown, and Gavin Knights (15 carries, 137 yards) ran for three touchdowns for the second consecutive week. 

Millers quarterback Gavin Colter ran for 100 yards, including a 65-yard touchdown.
