New Albany scores two TDs in less than two minutes to complete comeback win over Pickerington North

It looked like New Albany was headed toward its first loss of the season Friday night, trailing 19-7 late in the fourth quarter at Pickerington North.

But quarterback Brock Kidwell (photo by Gabe Haferman) followed up his 24-yard touchdown pass to Jadyn Garnes with two minutes left by scoring on a 7-yard scramble with 37 seconds left to give the Eagles a 20-19 win.

A quick three-and-out by Pick North (7-2) after Kidwell’s touchdown pass gave New Albany (9-0) a glimmer of hope, and the Eagles capitalized.

New Albany, ranked No. 21 in SBLive’s Ohio Top 25, is now all but guaranteed a top-four spot in Region 3 of the playoffs.
