Springfield Glendale earns third straight Class One MSHSAA Swimming and Diving Championship

Springfield Glendale needed a second-place finish in the final event of the day to claim its third consecutive Class One Missouri State High School Activities Association Boys Swimming and Diving Championship this past weekend at the Rec Plex in St. Peters.

Glendale took home the title with 240 points while Parkway West finished second with 220 points. John Burroughs grabbed third place with 187 points with Parkway Central rounding out the top four with 175 points. 

Bennet Loving from Webster Groves repeated as the Class One Diving champion with 515.90 points in the 11-dive event. Loving led the way after the first set of dives with 214.50 points and extended his lead after the semifinal dives with 365.10 points.

200-yard Free Relay – 1:36.29 – Parkway West – Raymond Yoon, Will Bonnett, Joshua Wu, and Daniel Budiman 

200-yard Free – 1:39.49 – Glendale – Michael Jasinski

200-yard IM – 1:48.91 – Parkway West – Will Bonnett

50-yard Free – 20.29 – Glendale – Lucas Chadwell

100-yard Butterfly – 49.87 – Chaminade – Matthew Judkins

100-yard Free – 45.58 – Glendale – Lucas Chadwell

500-yard Free – 4:37.44 – John Burroughs – Nicholas Theodos

200-yard Free Relay – 1:26.57 – Glendale – Jackson Talburt, Lucas Chadwell, Carson Johnson, and Michael Jasinski (New Class One Record)

100-yard Backstroke – 49.69 – Christian Brothers – Max Wehrmann 

100-yard Breaststroke – 54.27 – Parkway west – Will Bonnett (New Class One Record)

400-yard Free Relay – 3:13.07 – Christian Brothers – Evan Liberto, Andrew Becker, Conner Suthers, and Max Wehrmann
