COUGAR FIELD - Oak Grove High School wide receiver Tajii Burkett picked up 173 rushing yards and scored 1 touchdown to lead the Oak Grove Warriors to a 45-15 win over the Northwest Rankin Cougars on Friday night in a high school football game.

The Warriors also received impressive efforts from quarterback Anthony Maddox who completed 9 passes for 119 yards and 2 touchdowns and running back Kylin Champagne who rushed 17 times for 103 yards and 2 touchdowns.

Northwest Rankin's quarterback Wesley White threw for 69 yards and 1 touchdown, running back Dylan Lewis picked up 89 rushing yards and 1 touchdown and wide receiver Kaleb Boggans had 63 receiving yards.

The win helps Oak Grove improve to 7-1 on the season while Northwest Rankin falls to 5-3. Tonight’s game was the first matchup between the two teams.
