COUGAR FIELD - Meridian High School running back Daniel Hill picked up 343 rushing yards and scored 3 touchdowns to lead the Meridian Wildcats to a 38-31 win over the Northwest Rankin Cougars on Friday night in a high school football game.

The Wildcats also received impressive efforts from running back Anthony Brown who rushed 10 times for 64 yards and 1 touchdown and running back Jaylen Rush who rushed 10 times for 44 yards.

Northwest Rankin's quarterback Wesley White threw for 246 yards and 1 touchdown, running back Dylan Lewis picked up 95 rushing yards and 3 touchdowns and wide receiver De’shawn Dillon had 116 receiving yards and 1 touchdown.

The win helps Meridian improve to 4-4 on the season while Northwest Rankin falls to 5-2. Tonight’s game was the first matchup between the two teams.
