PANTHER STADIUM - Petal High School quarterback Eli Causey picked up 165 passing yards and threw for 4 touchdowns to lead the Petal Panthers to a 38-31 win over the Northwest Rankin Cougars on Friday night in a high school football game.
The Panthers also received key efforts from running back Chavez Walker who rushed 16 times for 144 yards and 1 touchdown and running back Kentrel Mickell who rushed 16 times for 73 yards.
Northwest Rankin's quarterback Wesley White threw for 229 yards and 3 touchdowns, running back Dylan Lewis picked up 173 rushing yards and 1 touchdown and wide receiver De’shawn Dillon had 96 receiving yards and 1 touchdown.

The win helps Petal improve to 4-5 on the season while Northwest Rankin falls to 5-4. Tonight’s game was the first matchup between the two teams.
