2. Warren Central (5-1) lost to Clinton 31-16

The Vikings gave up a season-high 31 points as another Power 10 team tumbles. Warren Central now has to regroup for a matchup with Starkville on Oct. 30. — GAME STORY

3. Neshoba Central (6-1) lost to Ridgeland 33-29

Zy McDonald accounted for all five Ridgeland touchdowns — four passing and one rushing — as the Titans made a statement. — GAME STORY

4. Oxford (7-0) beat Olive Branch 39-0

After charging up the Power 10 rankings to No. 4, Oxford looked impressive in a shutout of Olive Branch. Xavier Walton led the defensive effort with three interceptions. The Chargers have now won 20 consecutive games.

5. D’Iberville (7-0) beat Gulfport 22-13

The Warriors took care of business against the Admirals, and now they turn their attention to next week’s showdown at Harrison Central. — GAME STORY

6. Starkville (6-1) bye

After Madison Central’s loss to South Panola, the Jackets are in great shape in Region 2-6A.

7. Picayune (8-0) beat Pearl River Central 48-7

The Maroon Tide have now won 12 consecutive road games.

8. Madison Central (6-3) lost to South Panola 12-10

One week after knocking off No. 1 Starkville, the Jaguars fall to South Panola. D’mariun Perteet scored what proved to be the game-winning touchdown on a two-yard run midway through the third quarter. — GAME STORY

9. Northwest Rankin (7-1) beat Pearl 23-21

After a lengthy lightning delay, Northwest Rankin pulled out a last-second victory for the second consecutive week. And it was kicker Christian Baglione coming through with the game-winning field goal again, this time a 34-yarder as time expired.

10. Lake Cormorant (5-2) lost to Grenada 12-10

One week after making their season debut in the SBLive Power 10, the Gators drop a heart-breaker to Grenada.
