1. Starkville (3-0) beat Meridian 35-14

Luke Altmyer threw four touchdown passes — including three to Stacy Robinson — as the Yellowjackets moved to 3-0. — GAME STORY

2. Oak Grove (2-0) bye week

The Warriors are back in action next week against George County.

3. South Panola (3-0) beat Clarksdale 41-6

The Tigers cruises to their third consecutive win and now get ready for next week’s showdown with No. 1 Starkville.

4. West Point (2-1) beat Noxubee County 31-15

After falling behind 7-0 early, West Point scored 31 unanswered points to run away with this one.

5. West Jones (3-0) beat Petal 34-31

Trailing 31-14 entering the fourth quarter, the Mustangs staged a rally for the ages, scoring 20 unanswered points — capped by a 5-yard TD run by Josh McDonald with 2:32 left — to beat Petal 34-31. – GAME STORY

6. Madison Central (2-1) lost to Brandon 6-0

In the biggest upset of Week 3, Dobie Bartling hit De Andre Ward for a 65-yard touchdown and that’s all Brandon’s defense needed in a stunning win over the Jaguars. — PHOTO GALLERY

7. Neshoba Central (3-0) beat Scott Central 27-16

8. Picayune (3-0) beat Poplarville 31-21

A late TD by Austin Samples put this one to bed as Picayune moves on to Region play.

9. D’Iberville (2-0) game vs. George County canceled

With Hurricane Sally preventing the teams from practicing this week, both programs agreed to cancel the game. D’Iberville is back in action next week against Biloxi.

10. Warren Central (3-0) beat Pearl 28-21 in overtime

Warren Central pulled out an overtime thriller.
