Here are the candidates for the WaFd Bank Idaho High School Softball Player of the Week for May 17-23 as nominated by fans, readers and SBLive’s staff. THIS WEEK’S WAFD BANK SOFTBALL PLAYER OF THE WEEK NOMINEES:

Elle Anderson, Marsh Valley: Anderson hit a walk-off grand slam in the bottom of the seventh inning to lift Marsh Valley to a 10-7 win over Timberlake in the 3A state tournament. Marsh Valley went on to finish third in state.

Riley Dorius, Malad: Dorius pitched a complete-game victory over West Jefferson on Friday, then did it again on Saturday in the 2A state championship game, leading Malad to its 5th state title in the past nine years.

Kahlea Dumas, Post Falls: Dumas went 2-for-4 with a home run and two RBIs in Post Falls’ 8-3 loss to Rocky Mountain in the 5A state tournament. Post Falls finished fourth.

Madi Fink, Glenns Ferry: Fink went 3-for-5 with four RBIs to lead Glenns Ferry to a 19-7 win over Notus in the 1A state championship game.

Kaysie Jolley, Bishop Kelly: Jolley went 4-for-4 with a home run and five RBIs to lead Bishop Kelly to a 23-7 win over Ridgevue in the 4A state championship game.

Marissa Medina, Skyview: Medina went 3-for-4 with six RBIs to lead Skyview to their first 5A softball state championship, a 14-8 win over Rocky Mountain.

McCarty Stoddard, Filer: Stoddard drove in the game-winning run in the top of the seventh to lift Filer to a 5-4 win over Homedale in the 3A state championship game.
