Photos: Tyler Medaris leads Middleton to first Idaho boys basketball state title since 1965

NAMPA – Tyler Medaris tallied 12 points, six rebounds and two blocks to lead Middleton to a 47-45 victory over Preston in the Idaho 4A boys basketball state championship game on Saturday at Ford Idaho Center.

The Vikings rallied from a 23-20 halftime deficit to outscore the Indians 27-22 in the second half. Merit Foote chipped in eight points and two steals for the Vikings, who won their first state title since 1965.

Gabe Hammons led Preston with 13 points and four rebounds.
