Here are the candidates for the WaFd Bank Idaho High School Girls Basketball Player of the Week for Feb. 1-7 as nominated by fans, readers and SBLive’s staff. Amari Whiting, Burley: The wing player tallied a game-high 26 points – her 18th game of 20 or more points – with 11 rebounds in a win over Jerome.

Alexis Monson, Filer: The junior point guard had a big week with a season-high 28 points (and six steals) in a win over Buhl, and two night later, she scored 22 points in a win over Gooding.

Sydnee Hunt, Bonneville: The senior point guard had a team-high 22 points, including four 3-pointers, in a loss against Hillcrest. 

Trinity Seefried, Mackay: Scored 24 points in a win over North Gem, reports The Post Register of Idaho Falls.

Mattie Olson, Skyline: Beat the buzzer with a game-winning 3, as a part of 19 overall points, to lift Skyline over Blackfoot in a district semifinal game, reports The Post Register of Idaho Falls.

Jolissa Holt, Lakeside: Scored 19 points to lead Lakeside to a league-title clinching win over Wallace, The Coeur d’Alene Press reports.

Brooklyn Rewers, Lake City: Scored 25 points in a win over Lakelane, The Coeur d’Alene Press reports.

Brooke Jessen, Timberlake: Scored 24 points in a lopsided win over Kellogg, The Coeur d’Alene Press reports.

Hailey Cheney, Kellogg: Finished with 25 points and 15 boards in a win over Bonners Ferry, reports The Coeur d’Alene Press.
